We painted a graffiti portrait for the show Workaholics on Comedy Central. As a long time fan of the show Workaholics, we were honored to help create a piece for their final season. Comedy Central reached out to us to create a custom mural to be used for a billboard in Los Angeles and subway ads in New York City. In our LA studio, we painted some life sized portraits of the characters in a realism style using spray paint. We then shot images of the pieces to be used for their design. It’s sad to see the show come to an end but we were very happy to be a part of this campaign! Check out some photos of the artwork below.
Here’s some shots of the final billboard (on Sunset & La Cienega) along with the smaller ads in the NY subway stations.
Before Game 3 of the NLCS championships, we worked with the MLB to paint a LA Dodgers graffiti mural in Los Angeles. It was a piece that went up overnight in about 12 hours. You can check out an article of our artists being featured on ESPN. Special thanks to the folks at Start Los Angeles for letting us create the mural on their wall! Images of the mural below:
GraffitiUSA was honored to participate in an awesome project in LA recently in collaboration with the Britdoc Foundation. For the 2016 Doc Impact Award (celebrating the documentary films that have made the greatest impact on society,) we helped announce the five winners via a filmed graffiti piece in an abandoned Los Angeles warehouse. We watched all of these films for inspiration for the pieces and highly recommend them all! Also, they did an amazing job on the production of this short clip below. They were a wonderful organization to work with and we hope to collaborate more in the future. Please share!
Earlier this year, we worked with Swisher Sweets on their 2016 “Swisher Sweeties” calendar shoot in Los Angeles. The artwork was painted by LA based artist Self Uno. Check out some photos of the piece along with some of the final shots with the models.
Here’s a behind the scenes video from the photo shoot:
